(500) Days Director Signs On For Three Spider-Man Movies

 In  Action/Adventure, Directors, Industry

One of the hottest topics around the film web sphere in recent days has been who would take over the director's chair for the upcoming Spider-Man reboot.  Several names have been thrown around, but now New York Magazine is reporting that the search is over.

According to NYM, Marc Webb (Director of last year's "500 Days Of Summer") has been signed on to direct not one, but THREE new Spider-Man films.

Webb also comes to Sony with a much smaller price tag as he is reportedly being paid $10 million for the first film.  By comparison, Sam Raimi and Tobey Maguire were set to earn... get this... 25% of Spider-Man 4's box office take.

The new franchise will focus on Peter Parker in high school.  No announcement has yet been made about who the new cast will comprise of.
