Mel Gibson Reunites With 'Lethal Weapon' Scribe

Mel Gibson returns to theaters tomorrow in "Edge of Darkness," and the actor will be revisiting the familiar role of cop. Gibson played a cop in all four "Lethal Weapon" films, and while he won't be returning to that role, he will be reuniting with "Lethal Weapon" writer Shane Black.

Black will direct Gibson in "Cold Warrior," a film that sounds a lot like the video game "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2." It follows a retired Col War-era spy who once again has to fight for his country when Russian spies plan to commit terrorist acts on American soil.
