Teaser Poster For 'Conan' Remake

The first teaser poster for next year's "Conan The Barbarian" remake (sans Arnold) has hit the web and has all the distinct flavor of the original.

This version, simply called "Conan ", is being directed by Marcus Nispel , a former music video director who turned to feature films and has done such movies as "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" remake in 2003, the "Friday the 13th" remake earlier this year and 2007's "Pathfinder".

There are some conflicting thoughts on if the film will be slated for a 2010 or 2011 release date.

Did You Know: Oscar winning director Oliver Stone actually wrote the screenplay for the original "Conan The Barbarian".

Roland Kickinger is currently rumored to play the starring role.

Normally I'd point out that you can use the search box in the upper-right corner of the page to find out more, but in this case, the movie is so new that it hasn't been added to the site yet. However, John did provide a link in his post that can give you more information.

I have been waiting a long time for someone to do a remake of this movie! I have not seen a good old fashioned hack-and-slash barbarian movie in a long time!

Someone should create a group for all those Action/Fantasy fans out there and see how many great conversations we can get going!
