'Precious' Director Lands Hugh Jackman For His Next Film 'Selma'

 In  Actors/Actresses, Directors, Casting

Director Lee Daniels is on a roll right now.  Despite not actually winning Best Picture at the Academy Awards this past weekend, the film did pull off 2 Oscars (Best Supporting Actress and Best Adapted Screenplay) and has made Daniels a rising director many A-List actors want to work with.

Daniels' next project starts shooting in May and is titled "Selma", a story following the three marches in 1965 from Selma to Montgomery, Alabama during the height of the American Civil Rights Movement.

Actor Hugh Jackman has recently signed on to star in the film and is reportedly set to play sheriff Jim Clark.

It is also being rumored that Robert De Niro will sign on to the film to play the Governor of Alabama.
